UEFA has announced that BYD is going to be its official e-mobility partner for Euro 2024, the football / soccer tournament that is taking place in ten cities in Germany from June 14 to July 14.

Thus, BYD will provide "various stakeholders" at Euro 2024 with EVs, contributing to the goal set out in the tournament's strategy of hosting the most sustainable European Championship finals to date.

BYD will also showcase its latest models and innovative technologies at selected Euro 2024 locations. Additionally, BYD will be present in the official fan zones, inviting attendees to watch live broadcasts and "take advantage of exciting entertainment offerings to further enhance the footballing experience", the official press release says.

BYD will host hundreds of events in over 230 stores in 19 countries across Europe to celebrate Euro 2024 along with fans and customers. Aside from being the official e-mobility provider, BYD is also an official global sponsor of Euro 2024.

Guy-Laurent Epstein, UEFA's Director of Marketing, said:

The partnership fully aligns with UEFA's vision to promote a greener and more sustainable finals by bringing together a passion for football and UEFA's commitment to environmental responsibility. BYD also stands for 'Build Your Dreams'. This is a perfect fit for the European Championship, as players and teams are relentlessly pursuing their dream on the pitch with passion and hard work to lift the prestigious Henri Delaunay Trophy on July 14 in Berlin.

Michael Shu, Director of BYD Europe said:

BYD is looking forward to working together as part of UEFA EURO 2024 and is proud to be the first e-mobility partner of this prestigious sporting event. During the tournament, we will be able to present our latest innovations in the field of electric cars to a wide audience. In particular, the partnership underlines our commitment to reducing CO2 emissions for a more sustainable future. UEFA EURO 2024 offers an influential platform for this. There are significant synergies between our two organizations. Just like UEFA, we want to inspire people with positive and inclusive experiences and a clear focus on our goals. BYD is determined to make e-mobility accessible to all.
