Early buyers of the Chevrolet Blazer may get some money back to match its recent price cut

Chevrolet

Those who bought a Chevrolet Blazer prior to March 7 could be entitled to a reimbursement from the brand, equal in value to the price cuts it has applied recently.

Chevy apparently doesn't want to annoy early adopters, which is a welcome but unfortunately quite rare move. The information comes from Edmunds, describing how they received a letter from Chevrolet about a $5,620 reimbursement for the Blazer RS AWD they bought last year.

This model was purchased in 2023 for $60,215 and now costs $54,595. The base model Blazer LT used to go for $56,715 but is now just $50,195, so people who got one of those could be entitled to receive up to $6,520 back.

Chevrolet's letter says:

Chevrolet recently announced a new MSRP reduction on 2024 Blazer EVs. As a result of this announcement, we would like to offer reimbursement to customers who purchased a new 2024 Blazer EV before March 7, 2024.

That spells it out pretty neatly, even though Chevrolet spokespeople haven't responded to requests for comment on the matter.
