Japanese giants Honda and Sony have revealed more details about their jointly developed electric vehicless.

Honda will launch a new 0 Series lineup that will comprise seven new EV models by 2031. Meanwhile, Sony and Honda's joint venture, Afeela, is gearing up to unveil its first EV, a sleek sedan, in 2026. The 0 Series and Afeela EVs will share the same underlying platform.

Sharing platforms isn't just about saving money; it's about accelerating development. By pooling resources and expertise, Honda and Sony can shorten timelines, allowing them to bring their EVs to market faster. Honda is investing has earmarked 10 trillion yen (approximately $65 billion) for the 0 Series. These EVs will boast ultra-thin battery packs, compact e-axles, and lightweight body frames, all contributing to improved efficiency and range.
