Linktour enters Europe with L-Series city electric cars you can customize

Another EV company from China has arrived in Europe, and it's bringing a fresh take on urban driving. Linktour Automotive made its official debut at the IAA Mobility 2025, bringing to the show two compact electric vehicles designed for navigating busy city streets in style. The company's new L6e and L7e models offer a bit more than just transportation, though. In Europe's first, they come with a tiny canvas for personal style.

Linktour is betting on personalization. The company has introduced an industry-first feature called the 'Art Window.' Far from being an actual traditional window, a small display area on the car's exterior acts like a digital screen. Owners can upload custom graphics, display personal artwork, or even advertise a small business logo. The idea, according to the company, is to move beyond simple color choices and allow drivers to make their electric cars a true reflection of their personality.

Beneath the customizable skin, Linktour thankfully has focused on advanced engineering. The L-series models are the first in their vehicle class to be built on an all-aluminum frame. Using aluminum instead of steel makes the car a lot lighter, which helps improve energy efficiency and extends driving range.

This construction also makes the frame more resistant to rust. To improve chassis rigidity, Linktour uses a technique called Cell to Body (CTB) technology, where the battery becomes part of the car's structure. This keeps the vehicle's center of gravity even lower than usual, translating to better, more stable handling on the road and increased safety in the event of a collision - especially important topics in a vehicle this size.

The focus on technology continues inside. The driver is greeted by a modern cockpit featuring a 10.25-inch central touch screen and a smaller 5-inch intelligent panel for key information. Support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as Bluetooth are all standard.

A dedicated Linktour App allows owners to interact with their car remotely. From their smartphone, they can check the battery's charging status, lock or unlock the doors, adjust the climate control, and find their vehicle's location. Despite its small overall size, the car has a class-leading 70.9 inches wheelbase, which helps create a more spacious and comfortable cabin.

Linktour offers two distinct models that cater to different urban needs. The first is the L6e Urban Sprite. This is the smaller model of the two, measuring 105.7 inches long, 59.1 inches wide, and 61.2 inches tall, making it ideal for squeezing through tight traffic and finding parking on busy streets. Linktour believes it is a perfect second vehicle for a family or a stylish first car for young drivers. The cabin is fitted with eco-friendly materials and four-way power-adjustable seats.

Its tiny 6 kW motor is coupled with an equally small 7.2 kWh battery. But mainly thanks to its small dimensions and low weight (max 1,676 lb), the L6e can continue driving for up to 75 miles on a single charge. Once the battery runs dry, it takes up to 4 hours to replenish it from 0 to 100% using an AC charger - this small runaround supports only 2 kW input.

If you like the small packaging but want a bit more punch, there is the L7e Urban Elite. This version gets a more powerful electric motor that produces 23 kW of peak power and up to 81 lb-ft of torque. This allows it to accelerate from a standstill to 31 mph in just 5.5 seconds. The L7e has a stated range of 112 miles on the WMTC cycle thanks to its 12.96 kWh battery. That larger battery is responsible for the L7e's extra 1.38 inches height and 0.39 inches lower ground clearance.

The faster version has two driving modes: an efficient D-mode for everyday driving and a sporty S-mode for a more responsive feel. It also comes equipped with advanced safety systems like an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD).

Both models are available in four colors: Starlit Black, Rock Grey, Sprout Green, and Moon White. There is no word on pricing yet and the company hasn't confirmed yet when will its urban EVs go on sale - but once they will, the Citroen Ami and Fiat Topolino will have a worthy competition.
