In a recent regulatory filing at the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the VW ID.Unyx 09 was left almost fully exposed. We have pictures and key specs of the fully-electric, high-performance coupe that Xpeng and Volkswagen co-developed.
The filings mention two drivetrain options - RWD with one motor or AWD with two motors. The first one offers 308 hp, while the latter adds a 188 hp front motor for a total of 496 hp.
CATL supplies the LFP batteries found inside the ID.Unyx 09, but there's no mention of the capacity or the charging capabilities. It's probably a big pack, though, considering the 5,086 lb curb weight.
The car itself measures {{5,081}} mm in length, 78 inches in width, and 59.4 inches or 60.1 inches in height while the wheelbase measures 119.3 inches long.
One notable cool feature is the advanced matrix LED headlights that project adaptive lane markers onto the asphalt along with width indicators.
The ID.Unyx 09 is expected to launch in the second half of 2026 and follows a recent ID.Unyx 08 SUV launch back in March.
