Rolls-Royce has been teasing its luxury coupe sedan for quite some time now and we finally get to see it complete - meet the Rolls-Royce Spectre. Well, sort of complete, since the company still hasn't kicked off mass production and the first Spectre units will be shipped in Q4 next year.
Rolls-Royce says it has created a brand new segment in the automotive industry - the ultra-luxury electric super coupe segment. This is the company's first fully electric car and plans to go zero-emissions by the end of this decade.
Specs-wise, RR was rather reluctant to cite hard numbers as there's still some testing going on. But preliminary data suggest the car will have 577 hp (430 kW), 900 Nm instant torque and a maximum range on a single charge close to 418 km. A 0-100 km/h would take just 4.4 seconds.
However, Rolls-Royce says performance and efficiency aren't the main goals and as always, tries to provide the most luxurious and comfortable driving experience possible. The high level of comfort is achieved using new Planar suspension that allows each wheel to act independently and easily overcome high-frequency road imperfections.
On the inside, the Spectre is nothing short of Rolls-Royce's usual luxury. It's also the company's most technologically advanced cabin with Starlight Doors incorporating 4,796 illuminated dots, whereas the seats are inspired by British tailoring.
Another notable feature is the Spectre's aerodynamic chassis. It's the most efficient body from Rolls-Royce up to date with drag coefficient of just 0.25.
The car is positioned as a direct successor to the Phantom Coupe and will take its place going forward.
Abatible front seat to reach the rear seats? that's not Rolls-Royce at all... haha Such a long car for this??? Loving the optics design, good move
No, but its for their leaders who have set huge salaries and luxury benefits for themselves, but conviced their citizens that being poor and have nothing is in their best interest.
