Skoda gives us the tiniest glimpse at the Vision O's interior

Skoda

Skoda started teasing its upcoming Vision O concept at the beginning of this month, and then released a short video ten days ago. Today it's back with another video, and this one gives us the tiniest possible glimpse at the concept car's interior.

The Vision O is what the next all-electric Octavia will be based on, so this is an extremely important reveal for the Czech brand.

The Vision O concept is expected to finally be fully showcased at the Munich car show next month. It unsurprisingly has an SUV/crossover silhouette since that's what car makers think everyone wants now (and it also helps with making room for batteries in its 'belly').

Skoda says the color and material concept of the interior is "guided by the idea of circularity which leads directly to the use of mono materials and embraces the mono aesthetic look which these materials bring", whatever that means.

The interior makes use of very few materials, including 100% PES recycled flatknit custom knitted to the seat design. A "bespoke element" of the interior is the headrest from Ultrasint TPU which is 3D printed without further finishing processes, and "therefore recyclable again". Plant-based microfiber material is to be found in large parts of the interior and there's also a "recycled leather floor".

Skoda promises that "the atmosphere of the interior is enhanced by brand-new control elements", without going into any further details, at least not this time around - maybe that's a story for the next teaser?

Oliver Stefani, Head of Skoda Design, said:

The interior design concept of the Vision O showcases our commitment to combining simplicity and sustainability with enhanced comfort. The combination of clean lines and intuitive functionality reflect our efforts to create a harmonious and functional interior. It features materials and design elements that are not only aesthetically an evolution of our Modern Solid design language but also emphasize environmental responsibility.
