MG

MG Motor announced that a new Extended Range version of its MG4 EV model is now available. As the name suggests, it's the edition with the longest range among the four available. The WLTP rating is 323 miles thanks to the upgraded 77kWh battery pack.

The currently existing configurations, Standard Range and Long Range, offer 218 miles and 270 miles, respectively.

The Extended Range is only available on the top trim (Trophy or Luxury, depending on the market), which means you will be getting the black roof, tinted windows, heated leather seats and 360-degree camera, among other coo tidbits. Given a sufficiently fast charger the 77 kWh battery can go from 10 to 80% in 39 minutes, which isn't too shabby.

The extra range also comes with extra power. The rear-mounted motor gets you 238 hp and 0--62 mph acceleration of 6.5 seconds - a second faster than the Long Range model.

As far as pricing goes, the Trophy Extended Range is asking $50,119, matching the XPower AWD configuration that outputs 423 hp, but comes with the smaller 64kWh battery pack.
