Xiaomi

Xiaomi's SU7 keeps selling like hot cakes, and the company has already boosted production multiple times in order to try and keep up with demand. It went from 10,000 per month to 13,000 and then in October the company made over 20,000 units.

According to a new report from China, Xiaomi wants to make 24,000 units in November and December - 48,000 in total until the end of the year. That's an insane level of production growth, but it has to be done to keep up with the number of orders, which keeps on growing too - the current wait time for new orders is 21 weeks.

Xiaomi's phase one factory has a design capacity of 12,500 units per month, so the rate of utilization is close to 200% now through use of multiple shifts. A second phase is currently under construction and due to open in July or August next year. Once that happens the production capacity will reach 300,000 vehicles per year, easing delivery pressure.

Taking more time to make a car has nothing to do with quality, at least not in bodywork construction(assembly of car parts) where the work is done by robots. There the quality is pretty consistent, they also use camera systems to find defects etc. ...

It depends on what model It is, the more expensive cars take much longer to make from my experience(~2min), because they are sold in lesser quantities. In Skoda one Octavia was made in 47s or so. But this depends on how the assembly lines are p...

I talked to Fiat and Renault once and they told me that, they produce 1 car every 60-70s. this may depend on the brand and quality expectations. for instance, I don't think Mercedes has this production capacity. quality is definitely not a prior...
