XPeng

Tesla's refreshed Model Y can't seem to stop leaking, and XPeng has noticed. The Chinese EV maker has, perhaps not coincidentally, released three teaser images of its upcoming G7 SUV, which is meant to compete head-on with - you guessed it - the Tesla Model Y.

These images were published right after the first batch of spy photos of the new Model Y surfaced earlier today and a lot of people on Weibo compared the new design to that of the XPeng G6, the G7's currently available cousin.

According to an XPeng exec, the G7 aims to be the most competitive car in the CNY 250,000 ($34,000) price range, whatever that means. We assume the car will come with better specs than the Model Y at an ever so slightly lower price.

XPeng understandably thinks the G7 looks great. It's also apparently filled with AI features (because of course it is), and remains a "space monster" like the G6 and the P7+ sedan. This means it's going to be a very good choice for families.

Unfortunately, XPeng hasn't revealed any other details about the G7, but surely those will be released later, so stay tuned.
