Zeekr MIX interior spy shots reveal unique seating arrangement

Zeekr

Spy shots of the upcoming Zeekr MIX interior reveal an electric crossover that prioritizes both space and seating flexibility. The latest in automaker Geely's premium Zeekr EV lineup, the MIX boasts a spacious, innovative cabin unlike anything else in the electric car market.

If you ever wanted a real-life Transformer, the Zeekr MIX might just be it. Building off features pioneered in the recent Zeekr X, the MIX maximizes interior usability with unique convertible seats. The six-seater version features a middle seat in the front row that folds flat to become an armrest or doubles as a storage compartment. The five-seat model has a high center console, and it might be movable, possibly on rails. Even the center screen is movable side-to-side. These unique features promise flexibility that would rival any minivan.

Photos also hint at a practical focus. Seatbelts are integrated into the front seats, and each chair offers armrests on the outside, as well as grab handles for easy entry and exit. Small triangular windows at the base of the windshield help boost visibility. Passengers will enjoy ample light, while those in the rear outboard seats appear to have power-adjustable leg rests.

The Zeekr MIX's unusual split-sliding door may not be to everyone's taste, but its functionality is likely top-notch. This allows traditional opening doors for the drivers and a sliding door on the passenger side for convenient entry to the rear seats. On the opposite side, the front and rear doors slide to offer easy access for passengers. A complete lack of B-pillars is not a first in the industry, but it is rare for sure.

From the outside, the Zeekr MIX's design language blends smoothly with other Zeekr models. Rounded lines, slim headlights, and bold use of black trim lend a sporty, modern aesthetic. Despite its relatively compact dimensions – 184.6 inches long, 78.5 inches wide, and 69.1 inches tall – a generous wheelbase of 118.4 inches points to a roomy interior. Buyers can select 19-inch or 20-inch wheels, with some versions expected to come with Lidar sensors for future autonomous driving tech.

With a curb weight of up to 6,038 lb, the Zeekr MIX will likely offer agility and long-range options. A powerful silicon carbide rear motor delivers a hearty 310 kW (422 horsepower) while drawing energy from a CATL-supplied NCM battery pack. The MIX's cutting-edge 800V internal architecture should support extremely fast charging. We can expect to see the Zeekr MIX unveiled in its entirety at the Beijing Auto Show on April 25th.
