Audi Announcement

Audi has once again raised the bar for electric performance with the launch of the 2025 RS e-tron GT and S e-tron GT. These high-performance EVs pack impressive power, range, and the latest technology. The S e-tron GT starts at $125,500, while the high-performance RS e-tron GT Performance begins at $167,000. Both models are now available for order through US Audi dealerships.

The flagship RS e-tron GT Performance model is a record-breaking machine, boasting nearly 1,000 horsepower and a 0-60 mph time of just 2.4 seconds. This makes it the most powerful and fastest-accelerating production vehicle in Audi's history. The RS e-tron GT Performance also features advanced thermal management, a new 105 kWh battery, and cutting-edge chassis technologies to optimize performance and efficiency.

If a balance of performance and practicality is your thing, the S e-tron GT is the answer. It offers an impressive 670 horsepower and a 0-60 mph time of 3.3 seconds. With an EPA-estimated range of 300 miles, the S e-tron GT proves that electric cars can be both exciting and suitable for everyday driving.

Both models benefit from significant upgrades, including a new 105 kWh battery pack that enables up to 300 miles of range on the S e-tron GT (official range figures for the RS are not yet available). Audi has also improved charging capabilities, and both e-tron versions now support up to 320 kW DC charging. This allows for a 10-80% charge in just 18 minutes.

One of the standout features of the RS Performance model is the unique "Push-to-Pass Boost." This function provides an extra 94 horsepower at speeds above 19 mph for ten seconds, offering an adrenaline rush for drivers who want that extra burst of acceleration. Both models also feature advanced recuperation technology, capable of recovering up to 400 kW during braking.

Audi has not also refined the driving dynamics of the e-tron GT lineup. New active suspension technology offers improved cornering and enhanced ride comfort. The RS Performance model takes this a bit further with a dedicated driving mode that optimizes torque distribution and suspension settings for maximum grip and precision on challenging roads or race tracks.

Visually, the 2025 e-tron GT models receive subtle yet impactful updates. A reworked front fascia, new exterior colors, and unique forged carbon design elements give the cars a fresh and modern appearance. The RS model is the first Audi to use forged carbon fiber for interior and exterior accents.
