Tesla Rumors

Over the past 12 months Tesla has started selling the refreshed Model 3, codenamed Highland, and the company is due to do the same with the Model Y, its best selling car. The Model Y refresh, codenamed Juniper, is now rumored to go into production at Tesla's Shanghai Gigafactory in January, according to a Chinese media outlet.

Juniper will allegedly come with tweaks to the interior, exterior, battery capacity, motor performance, as well as the self-driving package, intriguingly. Giga Shanghai will also begin deliveries of a six-seat Model Y between October and December of next year, the same report claims.

Giga Shanghai is Tesla's largest factory in the world, with the capacity to produce 1 million vehicles per year. It makes the Model 3 and Model Y. It began operations in 2019.

The updated Model Y has been spotted in camo on the streets of San Jose, California last week, and was captured in the quick video you can see above - though if you blink you will most definitely miss it.
