Lucid

After teasing it a few days ago, Lucid has now unveiled its Gravity X concept, which it bills as "a trail-ready SUV designed to push boundaries and redefine adventure".

It will make its first public appearance on the Concept Lawn of the 74th Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance on Sunday, August 17.

The Gravity X uses a Gravity Grand Touring as its foundation, and combines advanced on- and off-road readiness. It "embodies refined ruggedness and quiet capability", Lucid says.

It comes with redesigned front and rear fascias, improved approach and departure angles, a widened track, a lifted ride height, protective skid plates, integrated tow hooks, and custom wheels with all-terrain tires, all in a "sleek silhouette" that "retains Lucid's exceptional aerodynamics".

The car is finished in a specially developed Astral Drift rugged satin paint with bold orange accents along the exterior. The front and rear fascias are finished in brushed metal. To mark its debut location, the Gravity X features sill plates and rocker trim featuring the coordinates of Pebble Beach.

Lucid hasn't revealed whether it plans to make this concept into a car that it will actually sell alongside the non-X Gravity.

The Gravity X would rise up above the Rivian R2 on my short list, if this Lucid EV offered a spare-tire well under the trunk floor.

Lucid, Gravity and all the other off-road EV models... Who in their right mind would take these 3-tonnes electric SUVs/trucks to the only place where you possibly can not charge and keep going? Who cares if you can individually move one wheel an inch...

I love this Lucid Gravity design. It has 5 Different Leather Seat & Console Colors. I built my Lucid with full and top options, 7 seats option... Price tag reached, 126.500 U.S. Dollars... It's very affordable SUV. Base price was around 100....
