Following the Eclipse Cross, which shares a lot of tech with the Renault Scenic E-Tech, today Mitsubishi has unveiled the Eclipse Sportback in North America. This is basically the new Nissan Leaf in disguise.

One thing's sure - Mitsubishi sure loves the name Eclipse. The Eclipse Sportback will go on sale in late summer or early fall. Mitsubishi has released the first images showing it.

Mitsubishi promises that the Eclipse Sportback will come with cosmetic changes that will differentiate it from the new Leaf, and make it "uniquely Mitsubishi".

It will have front and rear fascias that "echo other vehicles in Mitsubishi Motors' global lineup", distinct front and rear lights and lighting signatures, and special alloy wheels.

Unfortunately, no actual specs have been published right now, but surely those are coming in the next few weeks or months, so stay tuned.

Mitsubishi should just stop "making" "new" cars bruh. Unless they don't intend to actually make something new of their own, they should focus solely on AC and electronics. This is honestly just sad for both the brand what it ...
