VW

VW introduced another all-wheel-drive version to the hugely popular ID.4 and the new model is called the Pro 4Motion. This is the second twin-motor model available in the lineup after the ID.4 GTX. The ID.4 Pro 4Motion has slightly less power than GTX with combined output of 261 hp (195kW) - that’s 34hp fewer than the fastest model in the range.

The 0-100km/h (62mph) acceleration is brisk at 6.9 seconds and top speed matches the GTX at 180km/h (112 mph). The towing capacity is 200kg higher than the RWD ID.4 Pro Performance model and reaches 1,400 kg (3,086 lbs) which is ideal for smaller trailers and VW claims the new model is good enough for towing small boats.

The battery capacity is 77kWh, giving the car 517km of WLTP range (321 miles). Charging won’t take too long with a fast DC charger being able to replenish 80% of the battery in just over half an hour.

The prices for this latest addition to the model range start at €49,020 ($52,000) but since VW has sold out its entire EV production for this year both in Europe and the US, the earliest deliveries for this model will begin next year.
