Following a teaser in January and another one last week, Acura has today finally shown the upcoming RSX in full at the Monterey Car Week.
The SUV will be the first car built on Honda's self-developed EV platform, and will arrive in the second half of 2026. It will be produced at the Honda EV Hub in Ohio, on the same line as the Acura Integra.
The RSX will not only be the debut vehicle for Honda's EV platform, but it will also launch Honda's Asimo OS, which is "designed to learn the preferences and driving behavior of the vehicle's owner to deliver an ultra-personal in-car experience" through machine learning. The OS will support apps "similar to operating systems found on smartphones", OTA updates, and connected services.
The car will have vehicle-to-load functionality and will also provide back-up home power. The RSX will have dual-motor all-wheel drive, a sport-tuned double wishbone front suspension, a low center of gravity, and Brembo brakes as standard.
The SUV has a "coupe-like silhouette, powerful proportions, and high-tech details". There's also a "dramatic fastback roofline", in Acura's own words.
Note that Acura is still referring to the car in these images as a prototype, which we assume means some things could still change before production starts. The "performance SUV" is finished in Propulsion Yellow Pearl and it has 21" wheels. The full-width rear taillight pays homage to the second generation NSX.
