Mini's latest addition to its electric lineup is about to heat up the streets. Revealed by China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) filing, the 2025 Mini Cooper JCW E is primed to become the brand's most powerful electric vehicle to date, promising performance in a compact package.

Boasting a substantial power boost over its SE sibling, the JCW E packs 255 horsepower, a significant leap from the SE's 215 horsepower. This power bump, combined with the potential for grippier tires, translates to a 0-100 km/h sprint time estimated to be at least half a second quicker than the SE's already impressive 6.7 seconds. Despite this performance upgrade, the JCW E retains the single-motor, front-wheel-drive layout of the SE.

Though official range figures are yet to be released, the JCW E is anticipated to have a slightly shorter range than the SE's 250 miles WLTP rating due to its enhanced performance capabilities. The battery pack, however, remains the same 54.2 kWh unit found in the SE, with a usable capacity of 49.2 kWh.

Distinguishing the JCW E from the standard SE are several subtle yet sporty design cues. These include a unique body kit, a large roof-mounted spoiler, and distinctive 18-inch wheels. While the exterior bears a striking resemblance to the Cooper SE in JCW trim, a stylized checkered flag graphic on the rear hatch and a white-painted rear apron, potentially optional or market-specific, set the JCW E apart.

The interior of the JCW E remains under wraps for now, but enthusiasts can anticipate sportier seats and a host of other performance-oriented details that align with the car's high-performance character. While official pricing details are still forthcoming, the Mini Cooper JCW E is slated for an official reveal later this fall, with deliveries expected to commence sometime in 2025.

it is neither agile nor fast like ICE variant. it should weigh less than 1500kg and easily hit 250km/h as the most hardcore cooper to be sold.
